Sydney has one awful subway system called CityRail. Maybe I shouldn't compare CityRail with other cutting edge networks in Japan or Hong Kong, but it's really bad. The trains are old, staffs are bunch of amateurs, every weekend they replace lines with buses doing maintenance job and still manages to break down during the weekday peak hours. I have many stories on how bad CityRail (sometimes called ShityRail) is but probably I can save it for another time.
Anyway so I don't really like taking train and had to visit the city. I didn't feel like to drive, so this time I decided to take a ferry. Sydney also has ferry network called River Cat :) The departure was from the suburb called Parramatta and I was heading to the Circular Quay where the Opera House is. On the day when I went to the ferry station, there was sign saying due to the low tide on the Parramatta river, they replaced one route with the bus. Low tide... WT...
Long story short I took some photos on my trip to the city. All the photos were taken with X100.

If you have a chance to visit Sydney, getting on the ferry is not that bad idea. Probably not to/from the west suburb but taking one from Circular Quay (The Opera House) to Manly beach or Watsons Bay would be really nice.
