Central Coast and The Joy of Having No Choices

One thing I really do love about shooting film is that I don't have to do post-processing, almost none. Not because I can't do it as I get my photos scanned and view them on my laptop, but doing it seems that I'm negating my own effort. All the process of development is the post processing for the film, so after spending so much time on it, I don't feel right to do any digital processing on them. Unless ... I absolutely need it to bring my mistakes from the dark side ^^

So it's a good news for me, no post processing time to spend. You would understand the joy of not doing it if you have done it yourself many times before. It's like you went to the biggest shopping centre in the world to do Christmas shopping for 100 people, then even before you put one step into the building, someone just finished the shopping and handed over the bags of presents to you, so to speak.

Yes, doing digital processing is like going into the biggest shopping mall. There are overwhelmingly many options you can choose from and I have found it quite exhausting in the end. However, film processing is simpler - generally speaking of course without considering various development agents. You follow one set of rules then that's it. Once the negatives become insensitive to the light, all the processing stops. You now have your analog result which does not transform into any other form with some magic tricks. Eventually it becomes simple.

Probably the better way of explaining is like parking the car to your garage in reverse direction so it becomes easier when you drive out of next morning. Hmm.... just feeling ironic.

Anyhow now I have 4 photos I took in September at Central Coast area. The only thing I had to do was to narrow down my selection from the 36 roll.
